Delete your account

Last updated: August 24, 2026

This page explains how to delete your Nora account and the data stored with it. You can do it yourself inside the app, or, if you can no longer sign in, request it by email.

Deleting the account removes everything Nora holds for it. The deletion happens immediately, it is permanent, and it cannot be undone.

2. Delete your account in the app

This is the fastest route, and the only one that takes effect the moment you confirm. In Nora:

  1. Open the More tab;
  2. Scroll to the Support section and tap Delete Account;
  3. Type the confirmation phrase exactly as shown — “I confirm the deletion of this account”;
  4. Tap Delete my account.

The account and its data are deleted right away, and you are signed out. There is no waiting period, no grace period, and no way to restore the account or its contents afterwards.

3. Request deletion by email

If you have lost access to the app — you can no longer sign in, or you have already removed Nora from your device — write to support@noraai.co and ask us to delete your account. No app install is required.

Please send the request from the email address registered on the account, and include:

  • The email address of the account to delete;
  • Whether you signed up with an email and password, with Google, or with Apple;
  • A clear statement that you want the account and its data deleted.

We may ask for additional information to confirm that the request comes from the account holder, so that nobody else can delete your data. Once your identity is confirmed, we delete the account. We aim to complete verified requests within 30 days of receiving them, and confirm by email when the deletion is done.

4. What is deleted

Deleting the account deletes everything Nora stores for it. That covers all of the following:

  • Account and profile — your name, email address, password hash, the Google or Apple sign-in identifier linked to the account, your profile photo, and your app preferences such as language, theme, and areas of focus;
  • Recordings and transcripts — the audio you recorded, the audio files behind it, transcripts, speaker labels, and the entries, summaries, titles, and topics generated from them;
  • Your voice sample — the sample recorded during setup and the mathematical voice signature derived from it;
  • Chat — your conversations with Nora, every message in them, and the photos, documents, and other files you attached;
  • Memory and personalization — saved memories, insights, projects, people Nora learned about from your content, and the documents and search indexes built from what you stored;
  • Reminders and notifications — reminders, scheduled routines, notification history, and the device tokens used to deliver push notifications to your phone;
  • Location data — points recorded during recordings, places you saved, and the regions Nora monitored for location-based reminders;
  • Connected accounts — the links to every account you connected, including Google, Microsoft, WhatsApp, Whoop, Oura, and the rest. The authorizations Nora held are revoked, and the content imported from those accounts is deleted along with the rest of your data;
  • Subscription and usage records — your subscription record, plan entitlements, usage and quota counters, and the billing records associated with the account;
  • Sign-in credentials and tokens — refresh tokens, password reset tokens, and email verification tokens;
  • Support content — feedback you sent us from inside the app, including any screenshots attached to it.

5. What is kept, and for how long

Nothing. Deleting the account deletes all of the data listed in section 4, with no retention period and no partial or anonymized copy kept behind. Nora does not keep an archive of deleted accounts.

The one thing that is not ours to delete is data held by other companies under their own terms: content you had already sent or shared outside Nora, and records that our payment processor is required to keep for its own accounting and tax obligations. Those are governed by each company’s own policy, not by this page.

6. Privacy policy
